We are reopening our clinic and glasses dispensary for routine care, Wednesday, June 3rd! As always, the health and safety of our patients and staff are of the utmost importance to us. We want to reassure you that we are following all guidelines set in place by the College of Optometrists as well as the Ministry of Health. If you had an appointment booked during the closure we will be contacting you to reschedule.
Some of the precautions we are taking:
- Masks required for all patients, staff and doctors. No exceptions will be made.
- Face shields/safety glasses for all staff and doctors.
- Physical distancing markers on the ground as well as along our wrap-around porch.
- Plexiglass shields installed at our front check-in desk.
- A host at our front door who will screen all patients before entering the clinic.
- A reduced doctors schedule to ensure distancing between patients with time to sanitize exam rooms and equipment in between patients.
- All patients who enter the building will need an appointment including appointments to look at glasses, repairs or adjustments. This ensures we have enough time to thoroughly sanitize in between patients.
- Sanitization stations at every desk, exam room and upon entrance.
- Sanitation procedures of all high-contact areas and surfaces.
- For the safety of our patients during the glasses selection process, a staff member will assist all patients in handling glasses on the board. All glasses that are tried on or touched by patients will be thoroughly disinfected.
