  • Dr. Corrine Motluk

    In 1999, Dr. Motluk graduated on the Deans Honour list, receiving a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo. She also graduated with honours in 1994 with a Biology Co-operative degree from the University of Waterloo.

    Dr. Motluk studied with the OMEGA Eye Institute in Birmingham, Alabama and the L.V. PRASAD Institute in Hyderabad, India. She has traveled to Merida, Mexico to work clinically with I Care International that helped many of the rural population access eye exams, eye care and prescription eyeglasses.

    She currently is working with the Canadian Examiners in Optometry as a member of ICLO: the Indicator of Current Learning in Optometry and is a member of the Canadian Association of Optometry (CAO), the American Optometry Association (AOA), the Ontario Association of Optometry (OAO) and the Ottawa Society of Optometrists (OSO).

  • Dr. Alan Franzmann

    Dr. Franzmann graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2000, receiving his Bachelor of Science with Distinction. In 2004, he received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo, graduating on the Deans Honor List.

    In 2003, Dr. Franzmann interned under ophthalmologist Dr. James Wiens, who specializes in corneal and cataract surgery, laser vision correction, and glaucoma management / surgery. Dr. Franzmann’s other ophthalmological rotations included retinal disease, retinal surgery and oculoplastic surgery. Dr. Franzmann’s optometric rotations included pediatrics, contact lens, binocular vision and low vision.

    Currently Dr. Franzmann is an active member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists (CAO), Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO), and local Ottawa Society of Optometrists (OSO).

  • Dr. Graeme Ferguson

    Dr. Ferguson was born and raised in Nepean and attended St. Pius X High School, where he received the Governor General’s Academic Medal. He graduated summa cum laude with an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry at the University of Ottawa in 2008. During his summers, he worked at the Bureau of Microbial Hazards, as well as the National Research Council, where his research on stroke pathology was published in the Journal of Neurochemistry.

    Dr. Ferguson then studied at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry, where he graduated in 2012, having achieved the Dean’s Honour List every semester. During his final year of study, he completed a clinical externship with several prominent optometrists and ophthalmologists at the Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center in Mesa, Arizona.

    Dr. Ferguson performs vision therapy for binocular vision disorders and post-trauma/concussion vision syndromes. In order to further his education in this area, he has attended numerous workshops and conferences in North America and he is a member of Vision Therapy Canada.

    Dr. Ferguson is a member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists, the Ontario Association of Optometrists, and the Ottawa Society of Optometrists.

  • Dr. Erin Kelly

    Dr. Kelly graduated with honours from the University of Toronto in 2007, earning an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biology & Anthropology. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2013 from the University of Waterloo, graduating on the Dean’s Honour list.

    During her optometry program she interned at Vision America centre in Mobile, Alabama, working with retina, cornea, cataract, and oculo-plastic specialists. Her other clinical rotations included pediatrics, binocular vision, contact lens & low vision.

    In 2012 Dr. Kelly volunteered in an eye care mission to Peru with VOSH International that provided eye exams, eye glasses and ocular health screening to hundreds of rural Peruvians who otherwise had no access to vision care. In 2015 she volunteered with the Lion’s Club Opening Eyes program, performing vision screenings for athletes in the Special Olympics Provincial Floor Hockey Championships.

    Currently, Dr. Kelly is an active member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists, the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Ottawa Society of Optometrists.

  • Dr. Westley Bond

    Dr. Bond grew up in Stittsville and attended Holy Spirit School and Sacred Heart High School. He graduated with Dean’s Honours from the University of Ottawa in 2011 with an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Science. During this time, Dr. Bond worked as an optometric assistant and volunteered at the Ottawa Hospital where he developed an interest in the ocular manifestations of diabetes and other systemic health conditions.

    He obtained his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Waterloo in 2016, graduating on the Dean’s Honour List. During his studies he completed an international ocular disease clerkship in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center.

    Dr. Bond is an active member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists, the Ontario Association of Optometrists, and the Ottawa Society of Optometrists.

  • Dr. Danielle Guitard

    Dr. Guitard grew up in the Stittsville/Richmond area where she attended Sacred Heart High School. In 2017, she graduated with honours from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences. During this time, she shadowed at various Optometry clinics around Ottawa to gain experience and knowledge about the profession. She also volunteered at the Eye Institute at the Ottawa Hospital in the recovery room, where she learned about the procedures involved with cataract surgeries.

    In 2021, Dr. Guitard received her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo, graduating on the Dean’s Honour List. During her optometry program, she completed a rural externship at Ashcroft Vision Care in Dauphin, Manitoba, where she gained experience in treating various ocular diseases. In 2019, she volunteered in a mission trip to Senegal which provided eye examinations and glasses to small rural communities that do not have access to eye care. In 2020, Dr. Guitard interned under Dr. Motluk, and is thrilled to be returning to Stittsville Optometry as a licensed Optometrist.

    Dr. Guitard is an active member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists, the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Ottawa Society of Optometrists.
